Recently I posted a miniseries of an Ever After movie fanfiction I'd written.  It was followed by requests for more fanfictions, which I actually don't usually write.  Only about a year ago, I was most firmly opposed to fanfiction in general as a terrible waste of time and usually awful quality of writing.  That's beside the point, though, and since I've discovered the true drive behind writers of fanfiction - the pure fun of it, which I tend to lose sight of in all my writing - I've written three.  Here is my second, a much shorter work based off my favorite Taylor Swift music video. You duck under the branch, careful not to let the oil spill from the lantern. Holding it a safe distance from your hair and dress, you continue your quiet path to the cherub statue. He reaches it just before you do. When he sees you, he smiles and you feel like your corset tightens on its own. He looks so wonderful, standing by the lilacs with his black tailcoat unbuttoned and ...

30 Day Challenge - Day 22: First Ten Shuffled Songs

Put your playlist on Shuffle and list the first ten songs that play... "My Father's Father" by The Civil Wars ~ actually, i recently added some of their songs to 'try them out'.  so far i kinda like them, although all their songs are sad or sad-sounding. "When the Sand Runs Out" by Rascall Flatts ~ great song. very inspirational. "What Hurts the Most" by Boyce Avenue ~ (cover of rascall flatts song) another great song, although it's very sad and i generally listen to the original when i'm already sad and feel the need to cry.  the original of this song made me cry the first twenty times at least.  i love this cover artist, too, so i have all their songs that i already have the original of.

30 Day Challenge - Day 13: A Guilty Pleasure

Image
So, I said I was gonna keep up with this thing and then totally forgot for a month. Sorry!  But I do intend to keep going now. ;) Okay, I know most women have a guilty pleasure, but mine's not as easily defined as "watching Gossip Girl " or whatever. ... Alright.  It kinda can.  This definitely counts, and I can't believe I didn't think of it right away.  In fact, I'm indulging right now.  Ready?

30 Day Challenge: Day One - Favorite Song

Image
Well, this week I decided I was tired of having nothing posted all weekend long. That's just too long to go without writing something new. So now I'm adding Saturday content! Whether or not this will last past the 30 Day Blog Challenge (which I am doing over 30 weeks) is beyond me. Anyway, I've seen several bloggers doing several variations of this challenge. Finally I chose a random blog , copied their version of it, pasted into Wordpad, and saved. So now I have 30 Saturdays' worth of content ideas ;) Here we go! Day One: A Favorite Song Honestly, I never have a favorite anything for long, except color. (Green) Oh, and blogger. ( Bailey . Duh.)  But I do have a favorite-at-the-moment song most of the time.  Right now, that song happens to be "Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone," Chris Tomlin style. I first heard it on the Amazing Grace movie, and didn't hear it anywhere else until visiting Mikado Baptist Church last November. (Almost a year alre...
