I've never been big on the "organic and all-natural" movement, but I rarely turn down an opportunity for free stuff. When Maple Holistics  reached out and offered me free shampoo in exchange for a review, I figured, "What do I have to lose?" Nothing. I had nothing to lose. AND I GAINED EVERYTHING! Okay, okay, a bit dramatic. But hey, when you live your entire life with dandruff and eczema, an itchy, flaky head is no joke. This is gross — and maybe TMI — but I've reached a point where scratching my head and coming away with bloody nails isn't that uncommon. The skin is just so irritated! Or it was, before this shampoo. Maybe I should give the organic, all-natural movement a second look, because dang, this stuff really works .

I grew up watching the animated Swan Princess series based on the Swan Lake ballet. It's been more than a few years since my last viewing, so my recollection is fuzzy, but I remember thinking the turtle and frog sidekicks were hilarious. In 2012, The Swan Princess Christmas was released, which was the first in the series to use CG animation. I haven't watched this one. Have you heard of the latest trend in candles?  I first discovered it through one of those "suggested pages" ads on Facebook.  Basically, the idea is that when the candles are made, a piece of jewelry is hidden inside the wax.  Then, when the customer burns the candle, eventually they discover their surprise gift! I've heard of those companies that let you order just about anything with your photo on it - mugs, coasters, bookmarks, CDs, blankets, you name it.  My family has ordered professional photo prints and those little photo books before.  Photos on canvas are one of those things I'd seen before but never tried myself. Photos to Canvas Easy Canvas Prints offered me a free canvas if I would do a review and giveaway.  My lovely readers, you know by now that freebies are one thing I just can't resist.  Plus - my senior photos were just taken!  So I have plenty of awesome, high-quality photos to choose from!

I adore chocolate.  I mean totally, completely love the stuff.  We're talking a chocolate addiction here. So, when a lady from  The LA Shop  offered me a chance to review one of the products - of which a mini chocolate fountain was a choice - naturally I gave an enthusiastic yes! As part of a homeschool family, getting ready for and finding colleges is a somewhat different path for me than for public schoolers.  Public high schools have guidance counselors and information about tests, colleges, financial aid, and who knows what else.  Homeschoolers, on the other hand, have to seek out this information on their own.  That's why I'm so thankful for two college help sites, one of which is www.cappex.com .

One thing you, my lovely readers, may not be aware of - or may be confused about - is that I wear glasses.  Most of the images on my blog show me wearing my lovely Vera Bradley glasses, although my main photo (see me in the green dress in the right sidebar?) was taken while I was wearing contacts. My entire family actually wears glasses, contacts, or a combination.  That adds up to a good deal of money in eye doctor appointments, prescriptions, and new glasses - lens and frames - and contacts.  So when Firmoo , an international online glasses company, approached me about a review and giveaway, of course I said yes!

 I'm a teenager.  I know firsthand that teenagers, especially as we get older, have responsibilities and lifestyles that are different than an adult's, while we often have the maturity level and understanding of many adults.  Therefore, I love to read advice articles written for adults, especially Christianity-related.  However, it often frustrates me when such articles have titles that sound promising - I think Ooh, I could really use help with that right now! I wonder what they suggest? - and then I read the article and realize that it's specific to a certain full-time job or part of adult life that doesn't relate to me.
