Because this doesn't really go with any one book/movie but New Moon starts with Bella's birthday, I feel like it fits here: Edward is technically 108 in Twilight , 109 in the rest of the series. But physically, he's seventeen. Meanwhile, Bella is seventeen in Twilight , eighteen in the others. I felt like the look of Edward/Rob in the movies seemed a little off. I did my googling: Kristen's barely older than her character, while Rob is twenty-one at the start of the series. Because I'm a book purist and want to make a point, I just want everyone to see the pair at actual seventeen years of age: Another photo of seventeen-year-old Rob: Okay, point made. Moving on!

Hello, my lovely readers! The long-awaited day is here. It is finally time to share the somewhat snarky opinions and completely unobjective reviews of the Twilight Sage from a former Twilight Hater. Let's do this. Okay, so, we start off with this book that is proclaimed by one side of the literary community as the worst thing to happen to human intelligence since television and the other side as the greatest love story -- not of the decade, or the century, or even the millenium, but of all time ever . Either way, that's a lot for a book to live up to. Full disclosure: I kinda hated this book.

I'm still painfully obviously terrible at sticking to a blog schedule, but I do intend to keep posting SOB updates for the rest of the summer, however erratic. I promise! Summer of Books: Week... Whatever number we're on now. 3.5? 3? 3.18?

Summer of Books: Week 2 (ish) I've been on vacation visiting family in Indiana the past two weeks, so I know I haven't been the best at keeping up with the updates. I also am posting this week's special review two days late. But! Better late than never! Things should get more regular now that I'm home.

Hello, my lovely readers! This year has been an unusual one for the blog. I've been a bit hit-and-miss, I've talked more about life updates and college than actual blogging, and I haven't really been able to interact with you. This year has also been unusual for me. I started college, loved college, had to withdraw from college for health purposes. I tried various medications. I wrote papers in twenty minutes I didn't care about and papers over the course of weeks I refuse to ever throw away. I went from so-busy-I-can-barely-finished-my-assigned-reading to so-bored-I'm-tired-of-reading and back. And, in the process, my TBR pile, my writing, and my blog have gone sorely neglected. That changes now!
