Hello, my lovely readers! So, in a fateful twist of events, I am writing this post two weeks after its intended publication date from a conference room in an apartment building in Nebraska. How's that for unexpected? But let us proceed. We're almost done with the series! Just a note: this series, while marketed in and popular with the YA market, was originally intended for twenty-to-thirty-something married women with kids (according to Stephenie, the author). And even if the first three books are considered pretty acceptable and fitting for the majority of YA readers, this book is definitely a grown-up book. Marriage, kids, family drama -- the works.

I find all the news and opinions on the recent AshleyMadison.com hack intriguing. As a future journalist, I figured I'd throw my thoughts into the ring. For those who don't know, the basic story here:  a website called AshleyMadison.com was hacked earlier this summer. AshleyMadison.com is a site advertised and known for facilitating marital affairs, but its purpose is just discreet hook-ups. The hackers, who call themselves Impact Team, posted some users' information and some of the website's source code to prove the hack was legitimate. Then they threatened to release the names, addresses, emails, credit card information, and sexual preferences of the 35-40 millions users if the parent company, Avid Life Media, didn't shut the site down completely and immediately. ALM did not post a warning to its users on the site and did not shut the site down. So this week, the hackers made good on their promise and released all the details of all those users on the world wide...

Good evening, my lovely readers. Or morning, depending on where you are in the world. I wrote this earlier this week with a plan to post it once the Twilight  review series was over, but I think I need to share it now. I'm writing a follow-up post, too; make sure to subscribe so you don't miss it if you're interested. I'm a writer. And I'm a blogger. As such, I do a lot of reading and a lot of blog-following, because you can't write something until you've read a lot of that something by other people. As often happens when I read book blogs, I ended up following rabbit trails on and off GoodReads one night. Somehow, I ended up reading a lot of reviews of books and a lot of articles about the same topic: the evils and lies of psychiatry.

Hi guys! So I fiiiiinally got this one up. At least it's still the right week, eh? I don't think I've ever had such conflicting feelings in one book before. This should be interesting.

Somewhat snarky opinions and completely unobjective reviews of the Twilight Saga: Part Two. [Note I forgot to mention in Part One: there will probably be slithering spoilers.] [Note from me: meant to post this yesterday, oops. Sorry.] Here we go! Because this doesn't really go with any one book/movie but New Moon starts with Bella's birthday, I feel like it fits here: Edward is technically 108 in Twilight , 109 in the rest of the series. But physically, he's seventeen. Meanwhile, Bella is seventeen in Twilight , eighteen in the others. I felt like the look of Edward/Rob in the movies seemed a little off. I did my googling: Kristen's barely older than her character, while Rob is twenty-one at the start of the series. Because I'm a book purist and want to make a point, I just want everyone to see the pair at actual seventeen years of age: Another photo of seventeen-year-old Rob: Okay, point made. Moving on!
